Types of skin cancer

    Melanoma affects melanin. Exact causes are unknown, but UV radiation can increase your likelyness of getting it. Melanoma can be treated if spotted early.

    Skin cancer usually appears on areas that are exposed to sunligh quite a bit. If a person has a darker skin tone they can still get burnt and skin cancer.
    --Basal cell carcinoma
    * Usually occurs in sun exposed areas. It may look like a pearly or waxy bump. ORRR A flat, flesh colored or brown like lesion
    aka--not a pretty thing on your skin.

    Basal cell carcinoma makes up 75% of the cancer. It effects the epidurmis. Spreads only if untreated. Usually doenst spread.

  4. Melanoma starts in melanocytes which are the pigment cells in the skin it can be one of the more serious cancers. It often occurs in places where the skin can be seen.This is the cancer that occurs in moles. So make sure you get your moles checked! Or Die!:)

  5. There are two types of skin cancer Basal cell and Squamous cell. Former is more prevalent but both are the most preventable cancer among all others.
